Speaking of birthday parties. Earlier this month, my daughter turned sweet 16!!!! One of her friends turned 18 this month. They decided to have a party together. They had quite a few people show up and I think they had fun. My son-in-law & one of his friends played guitar & sang a few songs. Unfortunately, I didn’t get any pictures! boo hoo

My youngest is well, thank God!
Today was the birthday party for my grandson:

Grandson’s 3rd Birthday

Today is my youngest grandson’s 3rd birthday. Since my youngest daughter is sick, his mommy is putting off his party. I went ahead & gave him his present. It’s a McDonalds restaurant playset. The funny part is that his mommy works at McDonalds. Now he can play work while she is working. I think my daughter has had a little too much Mc Donalds though. I took this with a cell phone. Daughter Sick, But Still Silly

Today’s photo was taken with a cell phone.
My poor baby has been so sick. It appears that she has symptoms of H1N1. I have had her sleeping in the room with me, keeping her away from everyone.

My youngest grandson was playing grandpa’s shadow. I noticed he was quiet & I didn’t see him. I quietly went into the kitchen because I had a feeling. Yes, I was right. He was trying to make Grandpa a cup of coffee! Yikes!

Grandson’s Pumpkin Patch!

My oldest grandson takes after his grandma. He likes gardening. The more I planted this year, the more he planted. LOL He planted a pumpkin patch that took over their little backyard. He was so proud of all of the pumpkins that he grew all by himself!

I told them to make scary Halloween faces. Such a nice family picture. LOL

My sweet grandson sold me a couple of big pumpkins for $1 a piece because his aunt’s (my youngest daughter) pumpkin was messed up up by his cousin banging it around.

Train Ride & Pumpkin Patch

I took my 2 youngest daughters & my youngest grandson to ride a train. The train stops & the kids can pick a pumpkin. My grandson was so excited… “a train”!

My grandson still has a cast on his foot. The ground was a little wet and muddy. He is a big boy, I sure can’t carry him, much less him & a pumpkin. So, I took a plastic bag & tied it on his foot. That protected the cast & he could run around the pumpkin patch like the other kids!

Grandson Spending Night

My daughter just turned 16 a little over a week ago. She now has her permit. She drove for the 1st time on the the 10th! Wow, time flies.
My redhead goofy grandson is spending the night. He wants to show his parents that he is a big boy.
He put his coat on all by himself:

He Got a Cast

Well, the specialist confirmed that my almost 3 yr old grandson did break a small bone in his foot. He now has a real cast. The doctor convinced him that he needed a bright orange cast because it’s close to Halloween. I can’t believe it this kid isn’t being slowed down at all. He tries to run & jump on this cast.

Had to watch my youngest grandson today while his mommy worked. Just before she left her apartment to bring him to me, he came out of his room crying. She was able to quickly calm him down. He said he had a “boo boo” on his foot.
He told me that he fell on his big truck. He played all day, but did limp. This afternoon, I noticed that there was a place on the side of his foot that was swollen. Gut instinct, I just knew he had a broken bone. Got a hold of my daughter & she came home to take him to the ER. They put a temporary cast on his foot & said they believe he did break a small bone in his foot. Poor baby:

He seems to not even realize he broke a bone!

Good-bye to the Outer Banks, Heading Back to Indiana

Got up early, it was still to cloudy for sunrise photos. Took a last walk on the beach. We heading home with a buch of shells (probably a ton of sand caked inside my van).

Sadly we left the Outer Banks. But, at least I can get home to the other kids. I sure have missed them. Stopped to get my husband his boiled peanuts.
It was a LONG, HORRIBLY RAINING drive home. It was barely fit to be driving. But, thank God we made it. We’re tired. But, hubby got his vacation! I can’t believe how we did it & barely spent anything!
